The Carthouse Gallery / Tearoom
The Gallery and Tearoom will reopen again on 27th March 2008. Lunches and teas will be served in the Dovecote until the Carthouse opens for the season. The Carthouse Gallery is housed directly opposite the hotel courtyard and is a beautifully converted stonearched building. It is one of the best sources of local artwork on the Island, featuring an array of watercolours, etchings, photographs, pottery, wood and ironwork on display, all available for purchase. The Carthouse serves teas, light lunches from 12.00 until 2.30pm and delicious home baking throughout the day. The Tearoom is open from 10.30am until 5.00pm through July and August and 4.30pm out of season. Packed lunches can be made to order and take away coffee's and teas are also available. A selection of Mull Cheese, Island Bakery Biscuits, Ice creams and a buckets, spades, kids fishing nets and frisbee's are also available for purchase.

The Carthouse Gallery and Tearoom is a great stopping off point before heading down to the beach or on your way back up from the beach, just 20 minutes along our sculpture trail through Calgary Art in Nature. Maps can be purchased in the tearoom for £1.00.
