The Carthouse Gallery is housed directly opposite the Hayloft & farmhouse courtyard and is a beautifully converted stone arched building.
It is one of the best sources of local artwork on the Island, featuring an array of watercolours, etchings, photographs, pottery, wood and ironwork on display, all available for purchase.
The Carthouse serves teas, light lunches from 12.00 until 3.00pm and delicious home baking throughout the day.
The Tearoom is open from 10.30am until 5.00pm through July and August and 4.30pm out of season.The Tearoom is licensed & serves a selection of wines & local & Scottish beers .Wherever possible we use fair trade & organic & local produce, as well as homegrown herbs salads & vegetables when available.
The Carthouse gallery also sells a few food supplies - teas Coffees organic Mull biscuits, Mull cheeses, Croissants, chocolates, ice creams, crisps, sweets.as well as buckets and spades !
Gallery in the woods has monthly exhibitions through the summer.
