The Carthouse Lofts are across the Courtyard from the Calgary Hotel and situated above the Carthouse Gallery. Converted from a beautiful stone arched Carthouse, these two lofts offer accommodation of a very high standard in a truly idyllic location, 300m from Calgary Beach. The Calgary Art in Nature Sculpture Walk takes you through the Woods at the rear of the Hotel down to the White sands of Calgary Bay.

Both flats are on the first floor, up a flight of 12 external steps.  Both are identical, one facing East and one Facing West.  Each Loft sleeps 2 - 4 maximum and comprise of:

• An open plan kitchen / living room with a double sofa bed.  

• Kitchen with fridge and freezer compartment, Electric Cooker & Grill, Television, Hi fi and DVD Player.

• One bedroom with twin beds.

• One bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Oil fired central heating combined with solar panels provides for endless hot water and double glazing with plenty of insulation ensures that the flats stay warm and very cosy. Around the walls there are many works of art by local artists and indeed, much of the furniture has been made in a craft workshop behind the Carthouse Gallery.

The lofts are let Saturday to Saturday and are fully cleaned before arrival. We also offer a free mid-week checkover if you would like. Hot water and central heating is included in the weekly rent, as is bed linen, towels, teatowels and a supply of cleaning materials.

Booking Information:

To book, we require a letter and a deposit cheque of £100, and the outstanding balance paid at the end of your stay.

The above prices are on a weekly basis. The letting week is from Saturday to Saturday; Check in time is from 2pm and Check out time is 10am on the morning of departure to ensure a quick turn around for arriving guests.

1/2 weeks available out of season and also in season 1 month in advance if the Lofts have not yet been let:

£155 for 3 days during the months of November, February or March

£185 for 3 days during May,  

£130 for 3 days during the months of December and Januray excluding Christmas & New Year.

Additional Costs:

Metered electricity for cooker and sockets, approximately £3.00 per week

Hire of cots & high chairs £7.50 per week

Charge for dogs £10.00 per week (maximum 2 dogs per loft)

Laundry Service £7.50 per load or £5.00 per half load.
