The Carthouse Lofts are situated above the Carthouse Gallery.
Converted loft above the stone arched Carthouse, these two lofts offer compact accommodation of a very high standard in a truly idyllic location, 300m from Calgary Beach.
The Calgary Art in Nature Sculpture Walk takes you through the Woods at the rear of the property down to the White sands of Calgary Bay.
Both flats are on the first floor, up a flight of 12 external steps. Both are identical, one facing East and one Facing West. Each Loft sleeps 2 - 4 maximum and comprise of:
An open plan kitchen / living room with a double sofa bed.
Kitchen with fridge and freezer compartment, Electric Cooker & Grill, Television, Hi fi and DVD Player.
One bedroom with twin beds.
Suitable for couples or small families.
One bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
Oil fired central heating combined with solar panels provides for endless hot water and double glazing with plenty of insulation ensures that the flats stay warm and very cosy. Around the walls there are many works of art by local artists and indeed, much of the furniture has been made in a craft workshop behind the Carthouse Gallery.
The lofts are let Saturday to Saturday and are fully cleaned before arrival.
Booking Information:
To book, we require a letter and a deposit cheque of £100, made payable to calgary farmhouse, and the outstanding balance paid one month prior to arrival date.
The Loft prices are on a weekly basis. The letting week is from Saturday to Saturday; Check in time is from 2pm and Check out time is 10am on the morning of departure to ensure a quick turn around for arriving guests.

A mid week clean is included in the Carthouse Lofts
Additional Costs: Hire of cots & high chairs £7.50 per week Additional Bed & Bed Linen £15
Charge for dogs £10.00 per week / (maximum 2 dogs per accommodation)
Service wash for Loft £7.50/load
Cancellation Policy: If a booking is cancelled Self catering deposits are non returnable; unless we manage to re-let the property for the full term of let booked. If the property is relet then the deposit will be returned less 10% administration charges or transferred to another week in the same year.
We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover this.

The Deposit to secure the reservation is payable within 2 weeks of a provisional booking & if for a year in advance before the end of January proceeding the holiday .

The Dovecote Restaurant is no longer serving Evening Meals,
The Carthouse gallery will continue to serve Tea’s & Lunch, and sell a small quantity of food stuffs & packed lunches . There is alternative dining 2 and a half miles away at Penmore or at a hotel 3 miles away or at the village pub 5 miles away.
