Calgary Farmhouse Self-catering Terms & Conditions 2012
Part weeks are available in low season, or if property is not let one month prior to arrival – for late availability prices please ask or see our website.
Tariffs include all you need to self cater: linen, towels, tea towels, hot water, central heating and cleaning fluids. Electricity & Toiletries. The Carthouse Lofts include a mid week clean.

Cot Hire £7.50
High Chair £7.50/week
Extra Folding bed/child in Studio £25
Service wash For Studio & Carthouse Loft customers £7.50 per load
Logs £4/bag
Dogs £15/week , maximum of 2x dogs per property or £2/night for self contained rooms
The Tariff seasons are :
Low Rate - November to March excluding Christmas & New Year weeks which are High Season Spring Rate - April to June excluding Easter , Bank Holidays & Whit which are High Season Autumn Rate - September & October excluding Mull Rally Week which is High Season rate
High Season - July & August , as well as Easter, Whit, Bank Holidays, Mull Rally, Christmas & New Year.
Arrival & Departure days:
LimeTree & Bramble Cottages Friday to Fridays
Hayloft, Farmhouse & Carthouse lofts Saturdays to Saturdays
Dairy & Cart Studio’s –arrival & departure days are flexible , minimum 3 days let .
Half weeks are available out of season & if property is not let within one month to arrival date
Deposits:
The Deposit to secure the reservation is payable within 2 weeks of a provisional booking & if for a year in advance before the end of January proceeding the holiday.
Deposits are payable by cheque to Calgary Farmhouse or by credit card over the phone 10am-4pm mon-fri.
£100 Deposit to confirm Studios
£150 Deposit to confirm Lofts
£200 Deposit to confirm Limetree Cottage
£300 Deposit to confirm Bramble Cottage, Farmhouse or Hayloft
Outstanding balances are due before one month to arrival date, along with confirmation of ferry time booked & an arrival time at property.
Arrival & Departure Times:
The accommodation will be available for arrival between 2pm to 6pm,please arrive at The Farmhouse Office in the courtyard to collect keys .
Guests arriving after 6pm will be left directions how to find their property & the keys left in their door.
Farmhouse & Hayloft are in the courtyard adjoining the Farmhouse Office .
The Carthouse lofts are across the courtyard from the office up a flight of stairs .
The Cart Studio is across the courtyard at the bottom of the stairs to the Carthouse Lofts .
Limetree Cottage is across the road from Calgary Farmhouse .
Bramble Cottage is 100m up the road from Calgary farmhouse through a gate above the road .
Departure time is 10am for all bookings , if you plan to leave before this please let us know & leave the keys in the property door.
The Housekeepers will arrive at the larger properties at 10am & start to clean the upstairs while you finish packing downstairs , this is particularly important on a Friday & Saturday When there are a lot of changeovers, thank you for you co-operation.
Cancellation policy:
If a booking is cancelled Self catering deposits are non returnable; unless we manage to re-let the property for the full term of let booked. If the property is re-let then the deposit will be returned less 10% administration charges or transferred to another week in the same year.
We recommend taking out travel insurance .
Wi-Fi- is available daily in the Carthouse Gallery 10.30am to 4.30pm, and is also available in the courtyard out with gallery opening times. Wi-fi works at The Farmhouse, Limetree, Hayloft, Cart Studio & Carthouse Lofts. A Wep key is required & can be collected from the office or Carthouse Gallery.
Mobile Phones:
There is no mobile phone reception at Calgary Farmhouse we are in a valley, it does work above our Sculpture walk & up the road 200m, the best coverage on the west of Scotland is by Vodaphone other servers may only work in Tobermory.
The office at Calgary Farmhouse is happy to pass on messages to guests tel:01688 400256 .
There is a Public Phone box 100m up the road from the Farmhouse opposite Bramble Cottage.
Shopping:
The Carthouse Gallery has a small selection on food items- Oatcakes, Croissants, Pitta Bread, Mull Cheese , Organic Biscuits, teas. Coffee, Chocolate, Crisps, Ice creams Beer Wines , fresh Milk & Buckets & Spades .The nearest shops are in Dervaig Village , where there is a post office/corner shop –Monday to Saturdays(& briefly on a Sunday for newspapers1-2pm).Tobermory has a Co-op Supermarket, Bakery & Fish shop, there are village shops in Salen, Craignure, Bunessan, Pennyghael& Fionnaphort
Petrol:
Craignure, Salen, Bunessan & Tobermory have filling stations .
