Calgary Self-catering Terms & Conditions 2023
Tariffs include all you need to self-cater: Linen, towels, hot water, central or underfloor heating, & electricity, cleaning fluids, tea towels, toilet rolls & toiletries (including hairdryers).

Cot Hire £7.50
High Chair £7.50/week
Service Wash £10/wash
Dogs: £20/week, maximum of 2x dogs per property. Dogs must bring their own bed and please do not let them sleep on beds or sofas, and please hoover the floors & clean gardens on departure, thank you. Remember the next guest may be allergic or have small children.
We have one mobile half drum BBQ for residents’ use, please request at the office if you wish to use it.
Arrival & Departure Times: The accommodation will be available for arrival from 3pm. Guests will be sent details on how to self-check a week prior to arrival. Parking: There is plenty of parking for guests close to most of the properties, but please let us know if you are planning on bringing more than two cars.
The East & West Lofts are in the courtyard up a flight of stairs above the Café. The Cart Studio is in the courtyard at the bottom of the stairs to the Lofts. *
Limetree Cottage is across the road from the Cafe.
Kittiwake is in the Calgary Art in Nature woodland walk.
Departure time is currently 9.30 am for all bookings.
Deposits & Payments: A Booking Confirmation Deposit is required within two weeks of placing a booking.
By submitting this request to book one of our holiday properties you agree to accept our term and conditions. Please read our cancellation policy before making a deposit payment, we strongly advise you have travel insurance in place as factors out with our control may prevent you from arriving for your holiday.
Covid is now a known risk and therefore it is possible for you to insure your holiday against it.
Insurance companies are now offering options which include cover for COVID-related cancellation, but we cannot advise you on this. We are not able to recommend any particular insurance policy. You can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as www.gocompare.com.
If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Cancellation policy: If a booking is cancelled self-catering deposits are non-returnable; unless we manage to re-let the property for the full term of let booked. If the property is re-let then the deposit will be returned less 10 per cent administration charges. This also applies to balance payments.
Covid 19
If guests develop Covid 19 symptoms whilst on holiday they should tell NHS operators that they are a temporary visitor on the Isle of Mull and who will advise guests whether they can travel home or whether they must self-isolate on the island.
If guests are advised not to travel off island and we had to cancel subsequent guests, they would be liable for the additional costs.
Outstanding balances are due before four weeks prior to arrival date, along with confirmation of ferry time booked & planned arrival time at property.
Wi-Fi– is available in all our properties – except Kittiwake – please check the information sheet inside your property for Passcodes. Wifi is available in the Cafe@Calgary Arts – choose the open Network “Calgary” and available in the Calgary Arts – choose the open Network “Calgary Arts”. Please note that although we BT Business Broadband this no through the fibre optic cables; therefore, the Wifi strength can fluctuate.
Mobile Phones: There is no mobile phone reception at the properties as we are in a valley. However, it does work above our Sculpture walk & up the road 200m, the best coverage on the west of Scotland is by Vodaphone other servers may only work in Tobermory. The office at Calgary is happy to pass on messages to guests Tel: 01688 400256. There is a Public Phone box 100m up the road from Calgary self-catering. Shopping: The Café@Calgary Arts is open 10.30am to 4pm * in the season and has a small selection of local products for sale such as cheese, organic biscuits, milk, eggs, sausages and bacon. The nearest shop is at Dervaig Village, where there is a post office/convenience store – open Monday to Saturdays 9am-6pm, Sunday 12-2pm. Tobermory has a Co-op Supermarket open 8am-10pm most days, bakery & fish shop, there are village shops in Salen, Craignure, Bunessan, Pennyghael & Fionnaphort. Petrol: Craignure, Salen, Bunessan & Tobermory have filling stations.

Guests need to be aware that the above are currently up for sale. If ownership of the Lofts and Cart Studio changes before your stay please note that your booking will be transferred to the new owners. The opening hours and operation of the café may change though if ownership changes during the year.
